“It all depends on what you like,” says Gonzales. “San José del Cabo draws a lot of retired people. Historically, the atmosphere in San José [del Cabo] is a lot calmer than Cabo San Lucas, which is very active. Then if you drive 45 minutes from San José del Cabo, you are in the East Cape, which is very rural. People who live in the East Cape give up amenities like hospitals and large shopping venues in exchange for the quiet beauty of disconnecting from the world.”
Some resorts are have added residential sections, and developers continue to build master planned communities that cater to a wide variety of tastes and budgets.

These amenities provide residents with peace of mind and allow them the freedom to focus on pursuits other than home maintenance.
